During a look back at Treyarch's development of Call of Duty's multiplayer, an interesting note popped up about a killstreak that never made it into World at War.

At some point during brainstorming, the developers considered a Kamikaze killstreak in which an AI pilot would dive bomb an airplane into the map in a fiery explosion. The idea was even prototyped, but as a controversial action never made it into the final product.

Later, during the development of Black Ops, a similar suicide-related aspect arose. Somewhere in the MPAA questionnaire for games heading toward release there's a question that asks if the product contains any references to suicide. Whoever initially submitted Call of Duty: Black Ops to the board checked a box that said "no."

The game did in fact have a very direct depiction of suicide in the form of the original Coward's Way Out animation.
