DO NOT FORMAT YOUR HARD DRIVES!

If you have a lot of valuable data and you have no sources, like an extra hard disk or DVD burner to back it up, do not format. If it's that important that you need to format your hard disk, juist remember that work you have done or progress on a game is usually stored in 'C:\Users\(your name)' or for those who are on the older systems like XP and Win2000 (assuming most of us has Windows), 'C:\Documents And Settings', and sometimes, even in 'C:\Program Files'.

For those of you gaming, that can be a lot of hard work. I am constantly seeing people say that they lost all of their prestige and ranks in CoDWaW and in other games as well. If you are reinstalling Windows, I suggest you clean the leftovers off manually. Most of those leftovers are usually stored in a folder called 'C:\Windows.old'. Go in and take what you need that is most important to you and get rid of the rest. You may want to keep the folder for a bit longer just in case you remember something you needed just days later.

Good tip Paul, i already have my accounts backups on 2nd hd, dvd and usb drive, so my 65 level of 10th prestige will never gone

But i need to complete all map packs for CoD5 in case of maybe someday i will finally use them much

also, if anyone of u are strugglin or having boot errors, please post them here so I can help you, or pk if he got the time, there is no need to reinstall whole windows when u can fix the boot errors by yourself
