World at War is driving me insane.

Well i have been playing the TDM server of PDelite these past few days and im really enjoying it so keep up the good work.

Now Call of Duty World at War i hear has mountains and mountains of issues so since i seen the website of the clan in the game i thought i could pop on here and possible if i could get any help.

So first of many is that the game freezes on Multiplayer constantly (Even in game) , Sometimes it freezes when i leave it idle at the menu , Gives me a black screen on boot and gets stuck on "Retrieving account information".

I have re-installed at least 10 times taking different routes of installation such as not choosing to install punkbuster and downloading the Punkbuster+Legacy files.

The single player seems to have no problems at all i can play custom zombie maps with my friends no problem. (Crashing already occurred before i installed Zombie maps).

I have tried the Audio fixes and i am trying currently to make it run on Windows SP2 with Administrator. I have tried running it in windowed mode but that causes insane about of FPS drops with crashing asswell.

Punkbuster A and B is also allowed through my firewall so their shouldent be a problem with that.

So this game has frustrated me and even got a virus of a download claiming it was a fix for all issues for World at War   

So if anyone on this forum could please help me i would be very grateful.

(Running through CD Installation , Not Steam )

Hello, did you installed the DirectX that comes whit the Game? If not try it it helped me to get better Performance and iam not sure but it could help you whit your Problems.
PaulKersey told me that whit my Connection Problem and CoD5 runs really good now
I hope u get your Problems fixed!

I dident with last install with the game but when i did previously it still crashed :/ , Really dissapointing and frustrating

What are your system specs (gfx card, cpu, how much ram, etc.)
