Mistakenly Banned

I was just banned about an hour ago from the Fast XP Server #2. I am writing this because I am not sure why I was banned. I was playing with the type 100 and was doing pretty well when all of a sudden I was kicked. When I tried to rejoin the server it alerted me that I was banned.

I am not clear about why I was banned because I was not using any type of hack or mod. I also never said anything in chat. Can someone please help explain why I was banned and when this ban will expire.

Im not entirely sure. I switch my clan tag frequently while playing with friends. It is currently TrMP but it has been BASS, BAGS, FaZe, FM, CoPz. does this help at all?

Yeah, we don't accept mod menus here. There are some other servers that don't mind though.

Yes I am aware that mods are not allowed. What I do not understand is why I got banned when I did not use it. I did not even have the mod active or even launched when I was playing. I only ever use it in private games. The menu must have set my clan tag to FM and I forgot to change it. Was I just banned due to that clan tag?

The majority of mod menu users may not even use it at that time, but will eventually use it and we always have to ban them for it. Instead of waiting, we ban now. Players shouldn't have mod menus in the multiplayer portion of the game anyways.

Okay I understand. If I remove the mod menu and delete the software may I be allowed back on the server?

I was under the impression that I was able to use mods while in my own server.

You can do whatever you want to do in your privacy, but this is a public server and it disturbs others that play fair.

Alright I understand that. The main thing I don't understand is why I got banned when the mods were not even installed when I was playing. Do you guys just ban if you see that clan tag? I used the menu earlier that day, then uninstalled it, then started playing on the server. The mod was not even in my regulatory why was I banned?
