Hey, I think that trench gun could use a small dmg buff because sometimes you get that stupid +8 hitmark. Most of the times it results in your death to smgs which are that much superior to shotguns. When you are using shotgun you often only get one chance of killing your enemy and if you get +8 hitmark you will die to smgs which get 40 - 70 bullets in one clip, and they kill in like 2-3.

There are not many shotgun users on your server but I think that everybody would appreciate the buff.

They say shotguns aren't really powerful in WaW but I think they are fine. If you have to compare them to CoD4, CoD4' shotguns have more power. I stopped using shotguns a year ago for the very same reason you mentioned above. But it's not the shotgun to blame. Its the known submachine gun overpower. But if you use shotguns a lot with the right perks, you can still break a soldier into two pieces.

It's not that the SMGs are overpowered, it's the CoD makers not knowing what a shotgun actually is. Shotguns have been embarrassing in CoD for a long time. Shotguns actually have range and are not a toy that shoots confetti like CoD represents them to be. I understand they want to make balance, but they should find the right balance with shotguns instead of making them so poor and only deadly at 3 feet.

We can't change individual weapon damage without a mod unfortunately.

Maybe we should ask 'shotgun' (the cod4 player on the other server) how he does it hehe

theres no problem with the shotgun, double barreled is better anyway because of the less recoil the thing u experience with trench gun is just a too happy trigger finger. and yes alastora shotguns have range but their not lethal unless lucky after a very limited range.with the healing system in cod it would be useless to have do realistic dmg on range

Why can't you just mod that +5% dmg (or so) for shotgun in?

I was saying they should've found a 'balance' by now with shotguns like for example: give it more range and limit damage or something else. There's only one type of shotgun really worth using in WaW and you know the panic knifing people do isn't too far behind when you use that gun. That's their job to find a balance for shotguns.

Edit: To Darqus: because then, it will be a mod and we haven't decided on modding that server. We may do some things for server #2.

I just started using type 100 with steady aim and it's ridiculous! I would love to play on balanced, modded server.

Even mods are not totally perfect, cause you will still able so see someone who complaints about something. Its Activision call, and we as a players, need to live with that, even if its far away from reality Razz
